Indulge in layers of fudgy brownie and rich chocolate mousse, topped with a sprinkle of elegance. Perfect for celebrations or when you’re craving something truly special!
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp salt
8 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
2 cups heavy cream, divided
1/4 cup powdered sugar
Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder (for garnish)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper.
Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in granulated sugar, then beat in eggs one at a time. Add vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
Sift flour, cocoa powder, and salt together. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick (look for moist crumbs). Let cool completely in the pan.
For the mousse, melt chopped chocolate with ½ cup heavy cream in a heatproof bowl over simmering water. Stir until smooth and let cool slightly.
Whip remaining heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Gently fold in the melted chocolate mixture to create a silky mousse.
Once the brownie is cool, spread the mousse evenly over the top. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Garnish with chocolate shavings or a dusting of cocoa powder before serving.
Pro Tip: For extra indulgence, add a layer of fresh berries between the brownie and mousse. This cake is guaranteed to impress! 🍰✨
