Bourbon BBQ Pulled Pork with Creamy Coleslaw

A classic comfort food dish!
Ingredients:
For the Pulled Pork:
3-4 pound pork shoulder roast
1 cup barbecue sauce
1/4 cup bourbon
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Coleslaw:
1 head green cabbage, shredded
1 carrot, shredded
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sour cream
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
Make the Pulled Pork:
Season the Pork: Season the pork shoulder with salt and pepper.
Cook the Pork: Place the pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Combine barbecue sauce, bourbon, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Pour the mixture over the pork shoulder.
Cook: Cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the pork is tender and pulls apart easily.
Shred the Pork: Shred the pork using two forks.
Make the Coleslaw:
Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, shredded carrot, mayonnaise, sour cream, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper.
Toss: Toss to coat.
Serve:
Serve the pulled pork on buns or in bowls, topped with creamy coleslaw.
Tips:
You can use a variety of barbecue sauces, such as sweet, spicy, or tangy.
For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the barbecue sauce.
Serve with your favorite side dishes, such as cornbread or baked beans.
