Sweet caramelized pears, creamy burrata, crunchy nuts, and vibrant pomegranate arils—a festive appetizer that's as delicious as it is elegant.
Ingredients
Caramelized Pears:
Three ripe pears, halved and cored, with their natural sweetness
A tablespoon of unsalted butter, melted to perfection
One tablespoon of golden honey for a touch of sweetness
Optional: A light pinch of warming cinnamon
Toppings:
Eight ounces of luscious burrata cheese, gently torn into pieces
A quarter cup of juicy pomegranate seeds for a tart burst
A quarter cup of finely chopped pistachios or walnuts for crunch
Sprigs of fresh thyme or rosemary for garnish
Instructions
Caramelize the Pears:
Prepare the skillet: Melt the butter over medium heat in a large skillet. Stir in the honey until blended.
Cook the pears: Place the pear halves cut side down in the skillet. Let them cook for 3–5 minutes, flipping once, until they develop a golden, caramelized exterior. Sprinkle with cinnamon for an optional layer of warmth. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
Assemble the Bites:
Build the base: Arrange the caramelized pear halves on a serving platter, cut side up.
Add toppings: Place a piece of creamy burrata on each pear, followed by a sprinkling of pomegranate arils and chopped nuts for texture and color.
Garnish and Serve:
Finish with herbs: Add a sprig of fresh thyme or rosemary for a festive touch.
Serve fresh: Present immediately to enjoy the best combination of flavors and textures.
