Ingredients:
1 lb ground chicken or finely diced chicken breast
2–3 tbsp soy sauce
1–2 tbsp hoisin sauce (optional, for a sweet-savory kick)
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tsp garlic powder or 2 cloves minced garlic
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp ground ginger or fresh grated ginger
12–16 wonton wrappers
Vegetable oil for frying
2 cups shredded lettuce or cabbage
1 cup diced tomato
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend), optional
Sour cream or Greek yogurt for drizzling
Fresh cilantro and lime wedges for garnish
Directions:
In a skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add ground chicken and cook for 5–7 minutes until no longer pink.
Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce (if using), garlic, onion powder, and ginger. Cook for another 2–3 minutes until well combined.
Heat vegetable oil in a pan for deep frying.
Fry wonton wrappers one at a time for 1–2 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels and gently fold into a taco shape while still warm if desired.
Fill each wonton shell with a spoonful of the seasoned chicken.
Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, and cheese if using.
Drizzle with sour cream or Greek yogurt.
Garnish with chopped cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice. Serve immediately.
