Ingredients:
250g (1/2 lb) ground beef or thinly sliced beef
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp minced ginger
1/4 cup grated onion or finely chopped onion
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 package of refrigerated biscuit dough or crescent rolls
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Optional: Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
Prepare the beef: In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, grated onion, and black pepper. Add the ground or thinly sliced beef and let it marinate for 10-15 minutes.
Cook the beef: Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Mix in the shredded mozzarella cheese.
Assemble the bombs: Flatten each piece of biscuit dough into a small circle. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center, then fold the edges of the dough over the filling to form a sealed ball.
Prepare for baking: Place the bombs seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with the beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the bombs for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve: Garnish with chopped green onions if desired and serve hot. These are great on their own or paired with a side of dipping sauce like soy sauce or sriracha mayo.
Enjoy
