🛒 Ingredients (4 servings)

For the Shrimp:

500 g (1 lb) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tbsp olive oil

Salt & black pepper

1 tsp paprika (optional)

For the Sauce:

3 tbsp unsalted butter

3 garlic cloves, minced

¼ cup Hennessy cognac

1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)

1 tbsp lemon juice

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

Step 1: Prep & Season the Shrimp

Pat shrimp dry with paper towels.

Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.

Step 2: Sear the Shrimp

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add shrimp and cook 2–3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.

Remove shrimp from the pan and set aside.

Step 3: Make the Hennessy Butter Sauce

In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.

Add garlic and sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.

Carefully add Hennessy cognac and let it simmer 1–2 minutes to slightly reduce.

Stir in Dijon mustard (if using) and lemon juice.

Step 4: Combine & Serve

Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.

Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Serve hot over steamed rice , pasta , or with crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
