Golden, crispy halloumi slices drizzled with a sweet and tangy honey-balsamic glaze, topped with warm roasted grapes and toasted walnuts for a festive holiday appetizer.
Ingredients
For the Halloumi:
1 block halloumi cheese, sliced into ½-inch thick pieces
1 tablespoon olive oil
For the Honey-Balsamic Glaze:
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
For the Topping:
1 cup red grapes, halved
1 tablespoon olive oil
¼ cup walnuts, toasted and roughly chopped
Fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs
Instructions
Roast the Grapes:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Toss the halved grapes with olive oil and spread them on a baking sheet. Roast for 10-12 minutes, or until they are soft and slightly caramelized.
Prepare the Glaze:
In a small saucepan, combine honey, balsamic vinegar, and Dijon mustard. Simmer over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened. Set aside.
Cook the Halloumi:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the halloumi slices for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden and crispy.
Assemble and Serve:
Arrange the seared halloumi on a serving platter. Drizzle with the honey-balsamic glaze. Top with the roasted grapes and sprinkle with toasted walnuts.
Garnish:
