Ingredients:
1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/4 cup orange juice
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tbsp sriracha or chili garlic sauce (adjust for spice level)
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp vegetable oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp ginger, grated
Zest of 1 orange
1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Directions:
Toss the beef slices with cornstarch until evenly coated. Shake off any excess.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the beef in batches and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until crispy and browned. Remove and set aside.
In a small bowl, whisk together orange juice, soy sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, sriracha, and sesame oil. Set aside.
In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and sauté garlic and ginger for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the prepared sauce to the skillet and bring it to a simmer. Let it thicken slightly, stirring occasionally, for about 2-3 minutes.
Return the cooked beef to the skillet and toss to coat in the spicy orange glaze. Cook for another 1-2 minutes to heat through.
Garnish with sesame seeds, green onions, and orange zest before serving.
