Turkish Chicken Doner – The New viral Trend, But Even Tastier!
Brand-new version of chicken doner — I seasoned the chicken, flattened it, wrapped it in baking paper, baked it in the oven at 350f for about 20 min , then gave it a quick pan-sear for that perfect juicy inside and lightly crispy outside. The result was unreal!
I stuffed the sandwich with:
Turkish garlic yogurt sauce
Lettuce
Crunchy red onions
Red cabbage
Pickles
Tomatoes
And the classic Turkish red doner sauce
*Ingredients
For the chicken
- 1 kilo of breast minced chicken
- 1/2 kilo of thighs minced chicken
- One onion finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp of yogurt
- 2 tbsp of tomato paste
- 2 tbsp of oil
- Spices (1 1/2 tbsp of paprika ,1 tbsp of salt ,1 tsp of Cumin ,1/2 tsp Black pepper , 1 tsp of mixed spices )
Hâtay sauce (red sauce)
- 50g butter
- 2 spoons of tomato paste
- 2/3 cup of water
- Pinch of salt and pepper
- Optionnel 1 -2 tbsp of sriracha sauce
Sarımsaklı (garlic yogurt) sauce
- 1 cup of yogurt
- 2 tbsp of mayonnaise
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp of sugar
- 2 tbsp of olive oil
- Pinch of salt and pepper
