A showstopping holiday dish featuring a golden crust, melty mozzarella, juicy tomatoes, and fragrant basil, arranged in a beautiful wreath shape. A perfect addition to your holiday table!
Ingredients
For the Pizza:
1 store-bought or homemade pizza dough, shaped into a wreath
½ cup of pizza sauce
1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup of fresh mozzarella balls (Bocconcini), halved
½ cup of cherry tomatoes, halved
A handful of fresh basil leaves
1 tablespoon of olive oil
Seasonings:
1 teaspoon of dried oregano
½ teaspoon of garlic powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Optional Garnishes:
Grated Parmesan cheese
Red chili flakes
Pomegranate seeds (for a festive twist)
How to Make the Wreath Pizza
1. Preheat the Oven
Set your oven to 475°F (245°C) and let it preheat while you prepare the pizza.
2. Prepare the Dough
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large circle.
Cut out a small circle in the center to create a wreath shape (use a small bowl as a guide).
3. Add the Sauce and Cheese
Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving about an inch around the edges for the crust.
Sprinkle generously with shredded mozzarella cheese.
4. Arrange the Toppings
Tuck fresh basil leaves between the tomatoes and mozzarella for a vibrant, festive look.
5. Season and Bake
Drizzle olive oil over the toppings and sprinkle with oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly with slightly browned edges.
6. Garnish and Serve
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with extra basil leaves, a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, or a dash of red chili flakes.
Serve warm and watch it disappear in minutes!
