Ingredients:
1 lb (450 g) sirloin steak, cut into 1‑inch (2.5 cm) cubes
4 cloves garlic, minced
¼ cup (60 ml) soy sauce
2 tbsp vegetable oil (or neutral oil)
2 tbsp honey (adds a touch of sweetness)
1 tsp sesame oil (for nutty aroma)
1 tsp black pepper
Wooden or metal skewers (if wooden, soak in water 20–30 min)
Optional: bell peppers and red onions, cut into chunks for skewering
Directions:
In a large bowl, whisk together minced garlic, soy sauce, vegetable oil, honey, sesame oil, and black pepper to create the marinade.
Add the cubed steak to the marinade, toss to coat evenly, cover, and refrigerate at least 30 minutes (or up to a few hours for deeper flavor).
Preheat your grill to medium‑high heat.
Thread the marinated steak onto the soaked skewers, alternating with chunks of bell pepper and red onion if using.
Grill the skewers for 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally until the beef reaches your desired doneness and gets a nice char. Let rest briefly before serving.
