Bring a taste of Cuba to your kitchen with this flavorful marinated beef. It's perfect for grilling or roasting and will impress your friends and family!
Ingredients:
1½ pounds beef flank steak
1 cup orange juice
½ cup lime juice
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
½ cup olive oil
Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
1. Make the Marinade: In a bowl, mix the orange juice, lime juice, garlic, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper.
2. Add Olive Oil: Slowly whisk in the olive oil until everything is well combined.
3. Marinade the Beef: Place the beef flank steak in a large resealable bag or dish. Pour the marinade over the beef, making sure it’s well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for the best flavor.
4. Preheat the Grill: If you’re grilling, preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
5. Grill the Beef: Remove the beef from the marinade, letting the excess drip off. Grill the steak for about 6-8 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness.
6. Rest the Meat: Let the steak rest for about 5 minutes after cooking. This helps keep it juicy.
7. Slice and Serve: Slice the beef against the grain and garnish with fresh cilantro. Enjoy this tasty dish with your favorite sides!
