Ingredients:

• 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)

• 2 tablespoons olive oil

• 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed

• 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

• 1 teaspoon garlic powder

• 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

• 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

• Salt and black pepper to taste

• 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

• Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions:

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper.

3. Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel, then rub the brown sugar mixture generously over both sides of each chop.

4. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

5. Add butter to the skillet, spooning the melted butter over the chops as they cook.

6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

7. Remove from the oven, let the chops rest for 5 minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley.

8. Serve warm with your favorite sides like mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.
