These Fire Glazed Chicken Strips are a delicious street market-inspired dish that brings bold flavors to your table. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a fun gathering with friends, these strips are easy to prepare and packed with a sweet and spicy punch. Serve them with rice, in a wrap, or as an appetizer, and watch them disappear!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into strips
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp sriracha sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Optional: sesame seeds for garnish
Directions:
In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, sriracha sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, vegetable oil, and black pepper to create the marinade. Add the chicken strips to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor.
Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Cook the chicken strips for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have a nice char. Brush with additional marinade during the last few minutes of cooking for extra glaze.
Once cooked, remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve hot and enjoy the sweet and spicy flavors of these fire glazed chicken strips!
