Ingredients:
Chicken:
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
1/2 cup cornstarch
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 large egg, beaten
Vegetable oil, for frying
Honey Garlic Sauce:
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Directions:
In a medium bowl, season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper. Coat each piece in cornstarch, then dip in the beaten egg, and finally dredge in all-purpose flour.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add enough vegetable oil to cover the bottom. Fry the chicken pieces in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
Toss the crispy chicken in the honey garlic sauce until well coated. Serve warm and enjoy!
