Ingredients:
1 pound ground chicken (or pork/beef)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 red chilies, finely chopped (adjust for spice level)
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon fish sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
2 cups Thai basil leaves
1 fried egg per serving (optional, for garnish)
Cooked jasmine rice, for serving
Directions:
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and red chilies, stirring until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add the ground chicken to the skillet. Cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
Stir in the oyster sauce, soy sauce, fish sauce, and sugar. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly.
Add the Thai basil leaves to the skillet. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until the basil wilts and releases its aroma.
Serve hot over steamed jasmine rice. Top with a fried egg for an authentic Thai experience.
