Ingredients:
2 lbs beef short ribs (flanken-style preferred)
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp sesame oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp grated ginger
2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp chili flakes (optional)
2 green onions, sliced for garnish
Sesame seeds for garnish
Let’s Make It Happen:
Marinate the Ribs:
In a bowl, mix soy sauce, gochujang, honey, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and chili flakes. Pour over the short ribs, ensuring they’re fully coated. Marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight for maximum flavor.
Preheat the Grill:
Heat your grill or grill pan to medium-high. Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
Grill the Ribs:
Remove the ribs from the marinade and grill for 4-5 minutes per side, basting occasionally with leftover marinade, until slightly charred and cooked through.
Prepare the Glaze:
In a small saucepan, simmer any remaining marinade for 2-3 minutes to thicken. Brush it generously over the grilled ribs before serving.
Garnish & Serve:
Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot with steamed rice and kimchi on the side.
Tips for Extra Magic:
Add a squeeze of fresh lime juice for a tangy balance.
Pair with grilled vegetables or pickled radishes for a complete meal.
Swap gochujang with a milder chili paste if you prefer less heat.
Enjoy:
These Spicy Korean BBQ Short Ribs with Gochujang Glaze are a savory-sweet sensation that’ll wow your taste buds!
