Ingredients:

For the Chicken:

1 lb chicken thighs or breasts (boneless, skinless)

1 tbsp olive oil

2 tsp chili powder

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp cumin

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Juice of 1 lime

For the Toppings:

1/4 cup diced onion

1/4 cup chopped cilantro

2 tbsp salsa verde or your favorite hot sauce

Lime wedges for serving

For the Tortillas:

6 small corn tortillas, warmed

Instructions:

Marinate the Chicken:

Mix chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.

Rub the chicken with olive oil and lime juice, then coat with the spice mixture. Let marinate for 20–30 minutes.

Cook the Chicken:

Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat.

Cook the chicken for 5–7 minutes per side until fully cooked and slightly charred. Remove and let rest for 5 minutes.

Dice or shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces.

Assemble the Tacos:

Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or over an open flame for a smoky flavor.

Add the cooked chicken to each tortilla and top with diced onions, chopped cilantro, and salsa verde.

Squeeze lime juice over the tacos for an extra zing.

Serve:

Serve warm with additional lime wedges and enjoy!
