Ingredients

1 lb (450g) thinly sliced beef (sirloin or flank steak)

3 garlic cloves, minced

2–3 red chilies, sliced (adjust to taste)

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 teaspoon fish sauce

1 teaspoon sugar

1/4 cup water

1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves

Steamed jasmine rice for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Beef:

Slice the beef thinly against the grain.

Make the Sauce:

In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and water. Set aside.

Cook the Beef:

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sliced chilies, stirring until fragrant. Add the sliced beef and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until browned.

Add the Sauce:

Pour the prepared sauce into the skillet. Stir well to coat the beef evenly and let it simmer for 1–2 minutes.

Add Thai Basil:

Toss in the Thai basil leaves and stir-fry until they wilt, about 30 seconds.

Serve:

Spoon the Thai basil beef over steamed jasmine rice and enjoy hot.

This dish is spicy, savory, and bursting with authentic Thai flavors!
