Thai Peanut Sauce

Ingredients:

- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

- 2 tablespoons soy sauce

- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (or lime juice)

- 1 tablespoon honey (or brown sugar)

- 1 teaspoon sesame oil

- 1 teaspoon grated ginger

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 2–4 tablespoons warm water (to thin as needed)

- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

- 1/4 cup coconut milk (or water for a thinner sauce)

- 1 tablespoon Sriracha or chili paste (optional)

- 1 tablespoon chopped peanuts (optional, for garnish)

- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro (optional)


Directions:

1. In a medium bowl, whisk together peanut butter, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and coconut milk until smooth.

2. Add warm water, a tablespoon at a time, to adjust the consistency as desired.

3. Stir in red pepper flakes and Sriracha or chili paste if using, for extra heat.

4. Garnish with chopped peanuts and cilantro before serving if desired.


Storage Information:

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Stir well before each use.
